【Major Events of the Department】

• 1985, Predecessor of the Department of Early Childhood Education was established
• 1992, Established the "Department of Early Childhood Education": focusing on training early childhood education teachers, recruiting two classes every year
• 1998, Added "Master's Degree": the first early childhood education research institute in the country
• 2005/08/01, Name change and transformation

           The school was transformed and renamed "National Hsinchu University of Education"

➔  The university department is established with the purpose of cultivating kindergarten teachers, education caregivers and talents in early childhood education related industries to serve society and promote national development.

➔  The main goal of the master's program is to cultivate local early childhood education research and practical leadership talents.

➔  The curriculum and research part take localization, diversification, specialization, and refinement as the main directions

➔  In response to the trend of globalization, actively move towards the goal of internationalization

➔  Teaching emphasizes both theory and practice to enhance students' diverse abilities and meet the needs of different workplaces.

• 2006, Added "Kindergarten Teachers' In-service Continuing Education Master's Degree Class"

          In the 103 academic year, the name was changed to the "Kindergarten Teacher Master’s In-service Class"

         →Start recruiting one class every two years in 2006 →Recruitment suspended in the 103rd  academic year

• 2014, Added "Department of Early Childhood Education Master's in-service class"

           Starting from the 103 school year, one class will be recruited every two years.

• 2016/11/01, The school merged with National Tsinghua University
