The Department of Early Childhood Education has 11 full-time faculty members with distinguished research records. Our key research areas include multilingual and multicultural education, early STEAM education, early arts education, and developmental science. We also address aspects such as infant and child care, early childhood special education, and early childhood education administration. 【Strong Research Capacity】
Our faculty members have received widespread recognition for their outstanding research achievements. 【International Research Resources】
- We host Yin Shu-Tien Program endowed professors and Fulbright senior scholars, who teach courses and deliver lectures. Additionally, we regularly invite international scholars to give guest lectures and hold international seminars.
- Faculty and students actively participate in international conferences during summer and winter breaks, presenting research and exchanging ideas with international experts and scholars.
- Students can join the university's overseas exchange programs to study abroad at partner institutions.
- The proportion of English-taught courses in our master’s program has reached 35.5% on average over the past three years.
- Our department welcomes international students, offering an inclusive classroom experience where local and international students learn together.

【University’s Social Responsibility】
Our department has a long-standing commitment to social responsibility through various initiatives:
- Leading the municipal project for establishing Childcare Resource Center and Parent-Child Center in the East District of Hsinchu City;
- Leading the municipal project for overseeing and managing the childcare centers in Hsinchu City and County;
- Participating in the "Professional Support Program for Early Childhood STEAM Curriculum";
- Providing support services for Indigenous Early Childhood Education programs.
Through these projects, our faculty actively contribute to fulfilling the university's mission of social engagement.
