It was truly a pleasure to have the opportunity to be attached to Hsin lab, as part of my internship in Taiwan. Apart from having monthly lab meetings to update our progress and have feedback or advice from Professor Hsin, I have also gained a lot of knowledge regarding early childhood teaching, during my time in lab. Other than working on my own report, I was also exposed to the information that the lab was working on, giving me the chance to understand more about what the lab focuses on.

I had the exposure to learn more about a indigenous group in taiwan– Atayal and the Vietnamese culture, commonly seen in new-immigrant families. Beyond just learning content, I also developed skills to promote an inclusive classroom and encourage multicultural education. I am glad to have the chance to help out in the lab and sldo handle, breakdown and categorize raw data. My time with Hsin lab was truly fruitful because I really received a lot of guidance from Professor, and learnt a lot from my fellow lab members. I am also very grateful for the supportive, warm, and encouraging environment where everyone in the lab is always eager to help on another.
